Accounting and Taxation lecturer, Alistair Hodson was invited to speak at Harcourts' Business Breakfast to an audience of over 120 people including Harcourts' staff and business owners.
In his presentation, Alistair spoke about his current research covering some interesting tax history (and humour), a beginner’s guide to tax avoidance, and the brief story of "The Artful Dodger' John Russell (the subject of his LLM thesis).
Bryan Bloomfield, CEO, Grenadier Real Estate Ltd, thanked Alistair for his entertaining and informative talk.

"A large number of our people have told me how much they enjoyed the presentation and found the story of JG Russell fascinating."
Alistair's research interests include tax administration, compliance, ethics and taxation history. He is a member of the Taxation Interest Group and teaches accounting and taxation at UC.
